Hong Kong's Roger Vivier launch is star-studded success

French accessories brand Roger Vivier borrowed style tips from the city's party crowd for its Prismick autumn-winter campaign.

Socialites including Kennis Tai, Dee Poon and Emily Lam were among the seven beauties invited by the brand to style and model its bags and high-heeled shoes for a series of photos as part of the "Prismick, a walk on the chic side" exhibition.

The photos went on display on Monday at the brand's flagship store in Central's Landmark mall.

The girls styled their own fashion shoots and their personalised looks were captured by celebrity photographer Victoria Tang.

The event coincided with Tai's birthday, so it also became an impromptu celebration.

Tai, who had never modelled before, said the job had not been as easy as she had imagined.

Guests tried on items from the collection over free-flowing champagne and canapés. Prospective models for Roger Vivier's next campaign lined up to get funny pictures taken in an instant-photo booth.

The exhibition runs until tomorrow. It will then move on to Roger Vivier shops in Beijing and Shanghai.
